WORKOUT WARRIORS: Join Ursula Brendling for FBX and Kettlercise sessions

Date: Friday 22 September (FBX class) and Saturday 23 September (Kettlercise)

Venue: Rothay Park (open-air); if wet, the venue will be switched to Ambleside Parish Centre.

Here’s your chance to try out two great new exercise regimes with the live-wire trainer Ursula Brendling. The first (on Friday 22 September) is an FBX class, a 20-minute maximal training workout that is amazing for increasing fitness levels; the second (on Saturday 23 September) is a one-hour introduction to using kettlebells to enhance your fitness (Kettlercise).

Ambleside resident Ursula is, of course, well known for her Workout Warriors personal training sessions held in the town, and was the team leader of the women’s car pull at last year’s Festival of the Fells when she and many of her clients/friends hauled a car up from Ambleside to Kirkstone Pass in an amazing 62 minutes.

Ursula has been a fitness instructor for 24 years and loves her job.

“I am passionate about introducing people to fitness and feel I am so lucky to live in the Lake District and use the outdoors for our sessions,” she said.

“My aim is to understand why you want to get fit and putting together a programme that will suit your lifestyle and get the best results. I use a wide variety of methods to improve fitness, and vary your workouts to constantly challenge you and keep you motivated.”

She has a wide range of qualifications in health and fitness and holds a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and a Level 4 Training and Education Certificate where she conducted action research into using technology in fitness. She also is a qualified kettlercise, boxercise, rebounding and FBX instructor and loves putting together my own creative tabata workouts.
