A two-part course in this increasingly popular activity that enables people to join a ‘gym without walls’, to exercise in the outdoors with spectacular views and to fulfil exercise aims using Nordic Walking poles. It’s a great way to get fit, come rain or shine, with a low-impact activity that uses 90% of the body’s muscles.

The course is being run by Nicola Sproson, who runs the Glenridding-based Nic’s Nordic Walks.

Poles will be available; all you need are comfortable trainers and clothes, and waterproofs in case of the changeable Lake District weather. Bring a water bottle in a small rucksack if you wish.

You will learn how to master the Nordic basic, hill, and speed techniques which will propel you up the Lakeland Fells in the most efficient way possible.

Suitable for all ages and fitness levels
