The festival offers wheelchair-users a chance to try out a great wheelchair rambling route from Ambleside to Rydal Hall and back in the company of Freedom Wizard, the charity set up by qualified mountain guide Allie Pennington to help wheelchair users enjoy the very best of rugged Britain.
Thanks to new technology and a number of exciting new wheelchairs, what was once an impossible outdoors dream is now becoming reality, as Allie and her colleague Jeanette Moore have been proving this year with a number of high-profile trips to Lakeland fell tops with people using four-wheeled motorised transport.
You can also catch Allie and her team on Friday and Saturday during the festival at various times at the Market Cross pedestrianised area.
